The Moreton Bay Regional Council undertook road construction works to improve a section of Mount Nebo Road, but because of this offset planting works were required to compensate for the vegetation clearing that was required. This environmentally sensitive site required the team’s extensive horticultural knowledge and experience to see the project be completed in a timely and cost effective matter.
Native seed hydromulch and cultivation was just the beginning in the plan to assist the natural plants regeneration. Mass planting of revegetation stock including tree guards was undertaken with the scope of works also stating that all naturally regenerating native plant seedlings were to be identified, tagged and protected. Hand removal, slashing and spraying of weeds was also required to minimise the impact on the revegetation works.
